Recommendation is to avoid using the year nomenclature as this
information is already encoded in the git repo. Avoids needing to
repeatly update.
Also updates AUTHORS.txt from current repo with contributor names
These are not errors that end users can do anything about. Keep them
around for developer debugging if we want to see more imformation but
don't pop up error messages on the user's screen
