Thread pool needs to be stored in a single location for all of KiCad otherwise each kiface will spin up its own pool of persistent threads
Recommendation is to avoid using the year nomenclature as this information is already encoded in the git repo. Avoids needing to repeatly update. Also updates AUTHORS.txt from current repo with contributor names
Saves all the unit test modules having to copy-paste the (simple) function.
