Recommendation is to avoid using the year nomenclature as this
information is already encoded in the git repo. Avoids needing to
repeatly update.

This adds Reset() method to KIFACE to reload global libs stored in
global static vars.

Also makes sure the progress dialog is closed when we're done reading
symbols (it used to stay up for much of the symbol editor initialization).
Also makes sure that any cancel in the preLoad step is honoured in the
sync step. (The preload is done because it is multi-threaded and therefore
faster than the single-threaded sync.)
Also makes sure that individual threads pay attention to the cancellation,
not just the GUI thread.

They don't define a KiCad string class, so the header file name was
somewhat misleading. But the fact that they didn't match definitely
made coding more difficult.
Differentiates better between the EDA_ITEM IsModified(), referring to
items themselves changing and the EDA_SCREEN IsContentModified(),
referring to whether we have made any unsaved changes.
Using a UTF8 char inside a C string can work on unix, but not on Windows.
It must be explicitly converted in a unicode value inside a wide string
(like a wxString)
Previously, the background was highlighted, but not the text.
On Windows, the text was unreadable, until it was selected.
Now the foreground color is also set to the text selected color.
Similar to fix 34e00bdb6d, but for the fp editor.
Footprint library nicknames are case sensitive but the comparison for
the library tree control was case insensitive.
Also make the footprint name comparisons case sensitive as well. While
not strictly necessary, the plan is to start using the name defined in
the footprint file instead of the file name which will allow for case
sensitivity.

Added checks to StrCmpNum() function in common/sting.cpp to prevent
iterating past the end of the sting. Also removed length of string
parameter since it did not seem to be used anywhere.
