0b2d4d4879 Revise Copyright statement to align with TLF 
Recommendation is to avoid using the year nomenclature as this
information is already encoded in the git repo.  Avoids needing to
repeatly update.

Also updates AUTHORS.txt from current repo with contributor names

11de95778b Unwrap the FROM_UTF8 macro in favor of direct function 
The extern just gets annoying to try to export the func later. We also yeet TO_UTF8 to string_utils.h for parity.

99b242069d Cvpcb: fix possible crash when pressing the ESC key during some calculations. 
It was due to calls to wxSafeYield() than can fire a Close Event during calculations
modifying widgets inside the main frame.

66b33834b5 Always enable save; move dirty bit to asterisk in title bar. 
Also unifies PCB Editor and Schematic Editor names with other
locations in the GUI (which were still Pcbnew and Eeschema).

ede39780e2 Remove all debugging output that cannot be disabled. 
The use of printf, wxLogDebug, and std::err/std::out causes excessive
debugging output which makes finding specific debugging messages more
difficult than it needs to be.

There is still some debugging output in test code that really needs to
be moved into a unit test.

Add debugging output section to the coding policy regarding debugging
output.

e269b5d1b9 Workaround an issue where a throw terminates (even when there's a catch for it). 
You can trigger it before this fix by running Cvpcb when a .kicad_mod file is
incorrectly set as "Legacy" in your footprint table.

77f15eeeaf Support synchronous messaging over KIWAY EXPRESS. 
This allows us to make the various netlist and pcb update routines
more atomic and less reliant on carefully sequenced asynchronous
messages.

This is also a prelude to adding support for footprint testing
without a netlist.

cb61525394 Handle separate parsing rules for ID_SCH and ID_PCB. 
This removes the existing constructors so that all parsing must
be explicit and callers are made aware that they need to think
about illegal characters, malformed ids, etc.

b24b0d5dfe Dialog-ize CvPcb and implement proper Save. 
Save now goes to disk (instead of just the in-memory schemaitc),
and the UI attempts to make this clear.

4e7de8a761 Reverse commit 4011ed4e31c77d9ee885cc9262d0f0f89cad4fc6. 
This commit was too broad and not cognizant of the purpose of the class
UTF8.

Add MAYBE_VERIFY_UTF8() macro, which can trap non-UTF8 encoded strings in
debug builds.

Use that macro conditionally in class UTF8 to trap non-UTF8 encoded strings
being put into UTF8 instances.

3cec63e9b9 Pcbnew: plugin improvements. 
Allow partial library reads in libraries that support footprint per file.
This includes the KiCad and GEDA footprint libraries.

Allow for partially cached libraries rather than ignoring all valid files
when an error occurs.
